The travel industry is shifting fast. And with it, travelers expect an instant and relevant search and shopping experience – nothing less will do.

 But how to deliver on this promise to our customers?  This is what truly matters to us at Fareportal. And we’re achieving this by combining great people with top technology through our partnership with Amadeus.

We’ve been working with Amadeus for over 12 years now and chose this partnership because of Amadeus’ advanced capabilities, especially in flight search and fare search caching capabilities, which not only help with speed but also in the accuracy and bookability of flights.

But the people aspect is just as important. Our Fareportal and Amadeus teams are very collaborative and closely integrated.  We have regular meetings together and Amadeus provides us with a lot of useful insights and data.  Ultimately, Amadeus really understands our concerns and the needs of the online travel business overall. Amadeus’ Live Travel Space has also put us in the right gear to unlock further growth in our business.

Fareportal started as a technology company in 2002.  While we were originally a B2B travel agency, we later built an e-commerce website and launched our first brand called in 2006.  We serve about 11 million customers across seven countries, selling about $4.5 billion worth of flight tickets annually, and have over 4,000 employees globally.

Amadeus has been with us along our growth journey. I can still remember the day when we reached a thousand ticket sales in just six months after having launched our CheapOair brand in 2006, beating our three-year goal by a landslide!  It was such a great achievement for the entire team and we had so much fun enjoying that moment of success.

Our partnership was built on a strong foundation.
