Terry Jones Joins Fareportal Advisory Board

NEW YORK, June 1, 2011

Fareportal, an online technology company providing web-based portals and management tools for the travel industry, and parent to leading online travel booking site, CheapOair.com, announces today that travel veteran, Terry Jones, has joined the company as an advisory board member.

As the founder of Travelocity.com, Chairman of Kayak.com, and former CIO at American Airlines’ SABRE, Jones brings 40 years of online travel and IT expertise which will supplement and strengthen Fareportal’s standing in the travel industry.

Currently, Jones is Chairman of Kayak.com and serves on the boards of travel companies Reardencommerce Inc, and Smart Destinations Inc. After starting his career as a travel agent, he went on to spend twenty-four years at SABRE with management positions in travel distribution and IT, finishing his career as CIO. While CIO, he also led the team that founded Travelocity.com and later took the company public.

Since that time he has served on eight public and private boards, leads a consulting company and is a special venture partner with General Catalyst Partners.
