OneTravel Launches “Tweet Your Way to Turkey” Contest

OneTravel is giving away three grand prize trips to Istanbul during its “Tweet Your way to Turkey” contest, which launches Monday, February 21. Three lucky winners will be awarded the grand prize trip consisting of two roundtrip tickets to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines and a five day, four night stay at the new 4-star Edition Hotel.

The “Tweet Your Way to Turkey” contest runs for three weeks until Friday, March 11. Each Friday, a winner will be selected for one of the three grand prize trips to Istanbul.

To enter the contest, simply visit the OneTravel blog (blog.onetravel.com) and tweet for the chance to win:

  1. Look for the Turkey-themed blog post daily, Monday through Thursday, on the OneTravel blog
  2. Click the “Send me to Turkey!” icon inside the blog post to automatically tweet the phrase “I’m Tweeting my way to Turkey thanks to @OneTravel”
  3. Voila, you’re entered for that day
  4. Each day, one tweet will be selected as a finalist for that Friday’s prize giveaway. A unique hash tag will be used every day, so check the blog diligently and tweet daily for more chances to win!

Top Domestic Destinations Q1 2010 vs. Q1 2011

Florida destinations remain popular, with five of the top ten 2011 domestic flights being booked to Florida cities. Orlando has surpassed Las Vegas for most booked destination in Q1 2011 vs. Q1 2010 along with several Florida cities moving up the list, most likely due to severe weather the country faced in January. Ed Faberman Joins Fareportal Advisory Board

As a seasoned travel and transportation authority, Faberman brings his strong background in both areas, which will further strengthen Fareportal’s standing in the travel industry.

Currently, Faberman is a partner at Wiley Rein LLP where he represents a variety of aviation clients including low-fare airlines, startup carriers, airports, airport security companies, and more. By representing these types of parties before U.S. government organizations such as the U.S. Departments of Transportation (DOT), Justice

 (DOJ), State (DOS) and Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Faberman’s extent of knowledge goes far beyond the basics of aviation and travel. His focus is on expanding opportunities for carriers, airport authorities and communities.
