CheapOair Launches New TV Commercial

Leading hybrid travel agency to run TV spot on top cable networks

October 24, 2014 — CheapOair, leading hybrid (online/traditional) travel agency, announced today that it launched a new TV commercial that follows in the successful direct response format that has worked well for the company previously; online, in print, in radio, and in its previous TV commercials. The new TV spot runs on BBC America, Comedy Central, FXX, MTV, Palladia, TBS, TV One and VHC and was created by N. Watson Productions.

The new TV commercial prominently shows CheapOair’s phone number, which is a key differentiator for the travel agency, and explicitly highlights CheapOair’s unique flight search capabilities, such as an easy, 3-step booking process, as well as ability to mix and match itineraries on different airlines and search for alternate dates and airports. It also showcases some of CheapOair’s more than 450 airline partner brands.

“Direct response is in CheapOair’s DNA,” said Patriek Karayil, chief marketing officer at Fareportal, the parent company of CheapOair. “The spot follows in the footsteps of our other award-winning TV commercials, highlighting what CheapOair is best known for: our hybrid – online and traditional – travel agency model.”

Previous CheapOair spots received high praise and recognition in the industry, with its “Possibilities” spot winning 2014 Magellan Awards and its “Get There for Less” spot winning 2011 Magellan Awards from Travel Weekly, both in the Online Travel Services Marketing – TV Commercial category.
